New Years Day 2017: A Time For Mending Fences

New Years 2017

As one year ends, another begins. For many this is a time for reflection… others a time of hope… a time to for resolutions…. Some a time of change. For children it’s a great opportunity. The one day they’re allowed to stay up way past bedtime & participate in the great yearly countdown which happens at midnight December 31st.

Then there are the dreamers. For them this is a time of magic, wonder & surprise.

Holiday Surprise

My holiday surprise came in the form of an email. A short simple message from an old friend one I have not seen or spoken to in many, many years. Her significance on my life cannot be understated. Outside immediate family I can only think of 1 (maybe 2) people who have had a greater impact on my life’s journey. For this I am eternally grateful for her presence in my life.

But… it’s the same old story. Things happen, feelings get hurt, people grow apart. This was our story.

Are You Listening?

I believe everything happens for a reason. There are no coincidences. The universe is always talking to you. The question is… “Are you listening?

A few weeks ago, through a random coincidence the universe spoke to my friend. Thankfully she was listening & most importantly she took action, took a chance & reached out to me.

Pep Talk

I wrote “Never Too Old” as a “pep talk” to myself. At the time I was going through a period of uncertainty & change. I recorded it because I wanted to inspire & help people who are going through similar changes in there own lives.

Never Too Old
Lyrics by Tim Brandt

You’re never too old to start over again
Together we’ll make those amends
The answers that you seek are lying somewhere deep inside
Together we’ll start over again

Mend A Fence

The same message applies here… It’s never too late to mend a broken fence.

Today, the first day of 2017… marks a new beginning. Take the time to… Mend a that fence…

Make that call…
Send that message…
Give that hug…
Mend that fence…

Because… it’s never too late!

Thank you my friend.
