About The Song

Since February features the day all lovers embrace (or not, depending on your relationship status) … I decided to release a love song for February’s song of the month.

“Tonight”, is the only love song I wrote that’s not about a specific person or relationship.

The song came to me during one of my “Phill Collins Periods”. (Yes, Phill Collins is a guilty pleasure of mine… don’t judge). While suffering from a rather nasty bout of insomnia, I found myself home alone listening to music. One of Phill’s obscure love songs started playing called “The Same Moon”

I looked out my window and witnessed a beautiful full moon… instinct took over. Picking up a piece of paper, pen & my guitar… I knew it was time to write. Within minutes the song was finished.

Tonight is about finding that one person who…

…‘Gets’ you…
…Understands you…
…Really sees you…

And walking with him/her for the rest of your life!
